Our vision is to push the boundaries of dementia care and strive for continual improvement through innovation. We will create a community within our local community, bring the outside in if those in our care that are no longer able to go out. We will empower all those that we support and employ and ensure all team members are emotionally connected to our wider family members.

As a manager here at Worcester Lodge, it is my responsibility to ensure the well-being of all our residents and staff along with maintain good effective communication with families and professionals. Through knowledge and experience I feel strongly that we as a team can make a difference to the lives of all our residents and their families. We value a good sense of humour, kindness, empathy, and good team spirit. This is not just a job for me it is a vocation, I feel honoured to be able to share in all the ways that I can make a difference in our residents’ lives.

After 5 years of working at Worcester Lodge in the role of Activities Co-ordinator I can honestly say it’s such a pleasure. Management are supportive and I always feel like a valued member of staff. There is a real family ethos about the home, and it is always a joy to be there. Spending time with the residents and getting to know each resident brings me great happiness and is so fulfilling.

I have been part of Worcester Lodge in my role as a Cook for the past 2 years. I have had a passion for cooking for the last 30 years. My role at Worcester Lodge involves me in accommodating all the residents’ dietary needs including their likes and dislikes. I enjoy interacting with the residents throughout my day whether it be at morning coffee or when I am serving up tea and cake in the afternoon, especially when it is birthday celebration.
